Methodology

Our training, coaching and mentoring programmes cater for a range of learning styles and modes. In our work we are able to draw upon our own personal and professional experience, and the “dance of diversity” in our on business partnership. Added to that, we have wealth of experience utilising: change and transition theory, systems thinking, psychodynamic and humanistic psychology, social and historical perspectives and eastern and western spiritual traditions. Our extensive toolkit of techniques appeals to delegates at the level of thought, feeling and action/behaviour; and engages them visually, aurally, physically and verbally. This gives delegates a range of tools to take away and use to help clarify and show discernment and leadership in complex, layered and challenging situations.

Finally, we treat the training room as a place where we “model” what we are encouraging delegates to learn: taking equality seriously can only be achieved by recognising and respecting diversity in ourselves and others. It requires mindful listening in order to go beyond polarised positions and get to the heart of the lived experiences which have formed people’s values and attitudes. We aim to give participants an experience of the power of this kind of listening through our training programmes. Doing it and practising it ‘in here’ makes it possible for participants to replicate it ‘out there’.
