Signature Leadership

Every individual can show leadership with both presence and power. But very few have the self-awareness, transparency, skill and courage to manifest this “signature leadership”. It’s easier, but fundamentally flawed, to think that “the great leader” is “out there” somewhere, and if only we can model ourselves on him or her, no-one will notice the weaknesses we try to hide. The truth is that the great leader is “in here”, not “out there”. S/he starts by looking to inner resources and sources of presence and power.

One route to the inner resources which support “signature leadership” is advanced assertiveness. Advanced assertiveness is a highly tuned skill, which looks different in each leader, but always has the ring of authenticity about it. It is a stranger to aggression on the one-hand and covert manipulation on the other. Advanced assertiveness gets us in touch with our signature leadership because it requires self-awareness, transparency, skill and courage.

This highly practical course invites you to remove the obstacles to your signature leadership style through developing your assertiveness skills. As a result of this course you can experience more personal power and increase your sense of authority and self-confidence. You can learn to say, and mean, “Yes”, “No” and “I don’t know…”. You can communicate with authority and clarity. You can develop your personal presence, constructively giving positive and critical feedback. You can learn to express emotions appropriately and have the energy to follow focused intention when working with customers and colleagues. In short, you can develop your own signature style of assertive leadership.
